It had been some time since my coworker and I had talked about meeting up one day for coffee. She had separated a few months ago and since then she was much more receptive, meaning she was more smiley and gave me looks that, unless you are very clueless, make it clear she wants ‘something.’ Well, the day finally came, and when we finished work in the afternoon, we went to my house supposedly to have coffee and chat. We did that, but as soon as we finished, we didn’t even have to talk because at our ages, we both knew perfectly well how that date would end.
